Prince William and future Queen Catherine have a unique approach to discipline when their royal children break the rules.

Catherine, Princess of Wales, is raising her son Prince George under King Charles III of England using a method described as “slow grooming”, according to The Royal Observer.

George, who turns 11 on July 22, is next in line to the British throne after his father, Prince William. An official photo of the young prince released on his birthday has sparked comments from analysts about his mature and calm appearance.

“For the most part, he enjoys life as part of a privileged middle-class family and spends a lot of time with Kate’s family, the Middletons,” royal expert Phil Dampier claimed.

“However, he is growing up very quickly and William and Kate are preparing him for this role,” Phil added.

George has even received praise for his body language, with praise for Prince William. Body language expert Judi James noted, as reported by The Royal Observer, “Thanks to William’s careful guidance, George has developed from a slightly shy boy to a more confident, responsible and cheerful 11-year-old while still retaining a playful spirit.”

Traditionally, heirs to the British throne are raised in a more strict and public manner, in line with the long-standing royal rule that monarchs must serve the people throughout their lives.

However, the future King George VII is a departure from this tradition, with some royal commentators suggesting that the future Queen Catherine Middleton represents a new trend that fits “the way modern society works.”

The Royal Observer quotes a source at the Welsh estate as saying, “Children are absolutely forbidden from shouting and any sign of children shouting at each other will be dealt with by removing them from the area.”

William and his future queen have a special discipline strategy when their royal children break the rules. “A naughty child will be taken away from the area of conflict or disruption and calmly spoken to by Kate or William. They explain things and make clear the consequences, and they never shout at them,” the insider added.

The report goes on to say that the Prince and Princess of Wales prioritise their three children above everything else, even the Crown. This is in contrast to previous generations of royals who adhered to the motto ‘duty comes first’.

Meanwhile, the next monarch has made sure that this extra attention does not lead to spoiled behaviour. "They're brought up with an understanding of royal protocol and protocol," Supernanny's Jo Frost said in February, as quoted by The Royal Observer. Frost added, "And they're taught that there's a time and a place... They've got a lovely balance in that regard, and behind closed doors they're definitely playing games and teasing each other like siblings, having fun, baking cookies and enjoying nature."
