Kate Middleton and Prince William are looking to expand their team as it is reported that the Princess of Wales is planning to return to work soon. After stepping back from public engagements following her diagnosis, it is expected that Kate could return to her royal duties within a few months. In preparation for her return, Kate and William have advertised for a senior communications officer.

The job description states: "The successful candidate will be responsible for leading the communications strategy for the Royal Family's engagements and supporting the implementation of communications plans to highlight their key initiatives. The role will also include dealing with media enquiries relating to The Prince, The Duchess and their family."

The role will require travel between royal residences across the UK, as well as overseas travel. The candidate will also need to be adept at handling sensitive information with discretion.

The job posting coincides with reports that Kate is preparing to return to her royal duties. A close associate has suggested that although Kate continues to experience health fluctuations during her treatment, she remains optimistic about resuming her role in November.

After spending the summer at Balmoral with Prince William and their three children, Kate is said to be considering her upcoming commitments. It is believed that she is hoping to attend the National Service of Remembrance at the Cenotaph on 10 November.

While Kate has expressed a desire to attend the event, there are currently no arrangements in place for her to join William at this year’s Earthshot Prize ceremony. According to a report in The Times, royal aides are also starting to organise Kate's annual televised 'Together at Christmas' service at Westminster Abbey.
