Kensington Palace recently shared a video update on Duchess Kate’s health. In the emotional video, shot by Will Warr, Duchess Kate mentioned that she has completed her chemotherapy regimen and is now focusing on maintaining her health while enjoying life with her family. The video captured heartfelt moments with their family of five and shared feelings of hope and love.
However, shortly after, another royal couple, Harry and Meghan, also attracted attention when Netflix unexpectedly released images from their new documentary project on the X platform (formerly Twitter), with the caption stating: "POLO is a new documentary series following world-class athletes, providing an exclusive behind-the-scenes look at the fast-paced sport. From Archewell Productions and Boardwalk Pictures. Premiering this December."
The move immediately caused controversy among royal fans. While some were excited about the Sussexes' new project, others felt that releasing the information so soon after Duchess Kate shared her own health struggles was an ill-considered attempt to "steal the spotlight". One user on X commented: "Posting this so soon after Duchess Kate announced her poor health diagnosis has made me not only not want to watch the show but also want to cancel my Netflix subscription. How disappointing!"
Prince Harry and Meghan Markle began dating in 2016 and had a highly publicized wedding in April 2018. The couple now have two children, Archie and Lilibet. Since stepping down as senior members of the British royal family, the Sussexes have been involved in a number of collaborations with Netflix, including a cooking show hosted by Meghan.
Meanwhile, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge are focusing on their children's new school year and Duchess Kate's health after she overcame a health challenge.
