On September 22, the Princess of Wales was seen attending a church service near Balmoral Castle in Scotland. The event marked Kate Middleton's first public appearance since revealing she had left intensive care.

The 42-year-old was seen at Crathie Kirk Church with her husband, Prince William, and other members of the royal family on Sunday, September 22. While sitting next to William, who was driving, Kate flashed a brief smile from the passenger seat of their car.

Wearing a wide-brimmed dark green hat with feathers and a brown plaid coat, she complemented William's formal attire of a dark suit for the event. King Charles and Queen Camilla were also photographed arriving at the church in separate cars.

Kate's appearance marked her first public appearance since her announcement earlier this month that she was ending chemotherapy, which she first revealed in March along with her diagnosis. In a heartfelt video message released on September 9, Kate expressed that she had completed intensive care while appearing with Prince William and their three children: Prince George, 11, Princess Charlotte, 9, and Prince Louis, 6.

She described the end of care as a "relief," adding, "The last nine months have been really difficult for us as a family. Life can change in the blink of an eye and we have had to find a way to navigate through these turbulent times." "The journey of dealing with a health challenge is complex, frightening and unpredictable for everyone, especially those closest to you... This experience has largely reminded William and I to appreciate the simple yet important aspects of life that many of us often take for granted, such as loving and being loved."

Kate said she was "doing everything I can to stay away from this terrible disease" and expressed her intention to return to work "in the coming months when I can." Reports on September 17 confirmed that the princess had indeed returned to her duties. According to the Court Circular, which documents the activities of the royal family, Kate convened her team from the Kensington Palace Early Childhood Centre and staff at Windsor Castle to discuss her preschool project, as reported by The Telegraph.

The filing notes, according to the news agency, “Her Royal Highness, Princess of Wales, General Patron, The Royal Foundation of the Prince and Princess of Wales, hosted an Early Childhood Meeting at Windsor Castle this afternoon.” Meanwhile, the Prince and Princess of Wales’ recent church visit comes after Prince William attended an event in Aberdeen, Scotland, on September 19, where he interacted with individuals working to eradicate homelessness in the area.
