Kate Middleton has faced countless challenges over the years, but she has never shown anger when faced with the hurtful nicknames from her husband's acquaintances.
The Prince and Princess of Wales first met during their university days, where Kate endured considerable teasing from William's "upper-class" friends, who often mocked her for her mother Carole Middleton's former role as an air hostess.
Royal expert Katie Nicholl reported that William's friends would call Kate "Door to Door." However, Nicholl stressed that Kate always rose above these unkind comments.
“To her credit, Kate has never reacted negatively to the hypocrisy directed at people who call themselves the Middletons,” Nicholl said during an appearance on the Vanity Fair Dynasty podcast.
A royal aide admitted that the nickname affected Kate, but noted that she was good at hiding her emotions. “It’s never been easy for her, but she has incredible strength of character and resilience,” the aide said in an interview with the Sunday Times Magazine.
“I’ve never seen her lose her cool,” the aide added. Kate and William overcame the ridicule of their peers and married in 2011, later welcoming three children: Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis.
