Reports of heavy rain and strong winds causing widespread flooding in Rafa Governorate and surrounding areas. Streets and sidewalks were flooded, water accumulated in palm ponds, swamps, and vacant lots. Some shops were temporarily closed in preparation for emergencies.

The National Meteorological Center issued a red alert ahead of the storm, predicting heavy rain, strong winds, hail, and low visibility. The warnings, along with weather reports, indicate that these severe weather conditions are expected to continue into the second day.

The weather event extends beyond Rafa Governorate. Heavy rain and strong winds, possibly including hail, are forecast in and around Jazan, Asir, Al Baha, Makkah, Madinah, the northern border, and parts of Tabuk. Mild weather conditions and potential fog are forecast in Riyadh, Qassim, and the Eastern Region.

Heavy rain and storms have caused temporary traffic disruptions in Rafa Governorate and on nearby highways. Residents and visitors were seen waiting for the weather to improve.
